Have you taken the Birkman report? It's an ingenious physiological assessment tool to learn more about your personality, social perception, and occupational interest. The greatest outcome from this, in my opinion, is learning how you change from your usual state, to the you you are when you're stressed.
I for instance go from being a very direct people person to very indirect. As a leader there's a danger in how volatile my style is from when I normally operate to when I'm stressed. Under stress I'll be indecisive, find it hard to act, and see the worst possibilities.
It's important for us to cultivate an environment that gives you the support you need, but perhaps as importantly, to have a plan of action for when you are stressed. It may mean delegating decisions, or creating a time limit. It could mean going to a quiet place to think and avoid offending others (as is my case).
You're not you when you're stressed, so build a game plan around that.
