This week I'm reflecting on this quote. I try to avoid vanity, though it's inherently difficult as an only child, and this quote has struck in me a chord that ties well with my desire for minimalism.
There is a great humility and peace in having less and doing more with less. In seems fitting that the reverse is also true. As a business owner this is especially relevant as the more I spend both personally and professionally in theory has to be taken from one of my clients.
I do them a disservice by overspending and ultimately serve my own vanity. How might our society be different if we cherished smaller homes, lighter living, and leaner spending. Would it not effect every facet of our society?
